Rarewell Campaign

The Rarewell campaign was founded from a commitment to making a difference for those who live with rare diseases. Inspired by countless stories of resilience and courage, and the lack of guidance and support which rare disease patients have,  the Rarewell campaign is dedicated to advocating for rare disease patients through various initiatives and events.

Since founding Rarewell, we have organised several projects such as a sticky note campaign, where over 300 students, teachers, and community members  wrote heartfelt notes of encouragement to rare disease patients and their families. These messages of hope were assembled into a unique colourful poster display for each patient interviewed. Another highlight was our music video project; featuring the incredible Ms. Wong Oi Yan, Connie, on piano, we performed a cover of "Fight Song" by Rachel Platten. One of our more recent events was a rare disease day gathering at the Hong Kong Ocean Park. Serving as a powerful reminder that we are all in this together, there were over 100 people in attendance.

Through these initiatives, I've gained deeper insight into the daily struggles faced by rare disease patients in Hong Kong. This realization highlighted the need for support and inspired me to expand this campaign to develop this website as a resource for information and support, benefiting the rare disease community and everyone else to learn about the personal stories of patients in Hong Kong.

Thank you for supporting this campaign. Together, we can and will continue to support those who need it most.
